ARTIST OF THE MONTH
This month I am delighted to be Red Delicious Gallery's artist of the month. I will have my work in the entrance for another two weeks. Work has been selling well and I have thankfully had work ready to replace the sold pieces. The gallery is a new addition to Greytown and is just off the High Street next to the White Swan. Featuring beautiful local and art gifts it is a truly lovely space to visit.
A WORKSHOP - THE ROUGH AND THE SMOOTH
I will be running a workshop here at my Longbush Studio on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August. Working small on paper we will explore different techniques for cold wax medium and oil paint. Day two will be your day to explore in more detail techniques introduced in day one. This time we will be looking at creating depth through texture and/or layers of blended paint and cold wax. Does simply layering and blending give you the ethereal depth you are looking for or does the addition of texture in earlier layers add a mystery and depth you like? WAIRARAPA ART TRAIL
Watch out for the Wairarapa Art Trail on 26/27 September. I will be opening my Longbush studio both days, all welcome. There will be art for purchase or just come and enjoy the view and a chat. More details to follow.
