WORKSHOP

I am running my Intro to Oil and Cold Wax workshop on the 23/24 May at my studio in the Wairarapa.

Cold wax is a gorgeous and versatile medium that can be added to oil paints to give the paint transluscence, luminosity and a viscosity that holds texture. It also speeds up the drying time of the oils.

Working small and on paper we will experiment with different techniques building layers and excavating back into the surface. Day two is your day to explore in more depth the techniques from day one that really resonated with you.

All materials are provided. The workshop is suitable for beginners and those who have had a little experience with cold wax before. We will work through a series of techniques with demonstrations and time to explore in a fun and supportive environment
